Programmatic access to public NPI record lookups for your own systems.
This tool is not available yet. The description below is what we plan to build. Nothing on this page processes data or performs validation today.
What it will do
You'll be able to query public CMS NPPES records from your application — by exact NPI or by name, organization, taxonomy, and location — and receive structured JSON with the source and refresh date. The API will return public administrative data only.

What it will never do
Like the rest of Dr. NPI Search, this tool will work with public CMS NPPES records only. It will not verify licensure, credentialing, board certification, clinical quality, sanctions, insurance network participation, or whether a provider is accepting patients.
