Public records on this site
The provider records displayed on Dr. NPI Search are public data published by CMS through the NPPES Data Dissemination files. We do not create this data; we organize and present the public record. Providers who wish to change their record should update it directly in NPPES (see how to update an NPPES record).
Information we collect from visitors
- Search queries: Searches are processed to return results. We may keep aggregate, non-identifying metrics to improve the service.
- Basic technical data: Like most websites, our hosting may process standard request information (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver and secure the site.
We do not ask visitors to create accounts to search public records, and we do not sell personal information.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate site usage — for example, which pages are visited and on what kind of device — so we can improve the service. GA4 may set cookies or use similar technologies, and the data is processed by Google. We configure GA4 to track page views only: we record the page path (for example, /guides or /providers/fl) but not the search terms you type, the filters you select, the specific provider records you open, or any selection you make on the site. We do not use analytics to identify you, and we do not sell personal information.
