Provider roster cleanup
Compare your internal provider directory against the public NPPES record for each NPI.
This tool is not available yet. The description below is what we plan to build. Nothing on this page processes data or performs validation today.
What it will do
You'll be able to upload your roster and see where your stored name, location, or taxonomy differs from what CMS NPPES currently reports, so you can investigate discrepancies. Differences are informational signals from public data, not judgments about a provider.
Planned capabilities
- Upload a roster (NPI + your stored fields)
- Field-by-field comparison against NPPES-reported values
- Flag rows where NPPES reports a different name, location, or taxonomy
- Flag NPIs not found or marked deactivated in NPPES
- Downloadable reconciliation report
What it will never do
Like the rest of Dr. NPI Search, this tool will work with public CMS NPPES records only. It will not verify licensure, credentialing, board certification, clinical quality, sanctions, insurance network participation, or whether a provider is accepting patients.
